That's because the Outstanding Requests number is always going to show you the current number of requests that have not yet been answered. In other words, the "outstanding requests" can be thought of as a backlog of requests that still need attention.
The "Total Requests" number is the total number of requests that were submitted to users during the time period that you filter within the Reports/KPI page.
For example:
If my store received 10 requests last month, and we only answered 5, then this month we receive another 10 requests and answered 0, then if we filter out reporting by "this month" we would expect:
- Outstanding Requests = 15
- Total Requests = 10
