Salesfloor’s Multi-SKU product feed feature allows the retailer to provide product data so that the application displays the product in all available SKU variations (for example, a wallet could be considered a single-SKU product whereas a Shirt that comes in multiple colors and sizes is considered a multi-SKU product. Each combination of color and size of the shirt is considered a Variant of that product.
The Associate can browse and select variants anywhere from where the Product Library is accessible. Once products and product variants have been added to the shelf, the Associate can attach those items to a Salesfloor communication (Email, Text), Storefront, or Lookbook. Once submitted, the customer will see the details of the selected variant including image and price.
When the customer clicks through the recommended/attached product, they will be directed to the PDP URL of that specific variant.
Browsing SKU variants in the App
When the Product Variant configuration has been enabled and data has been imported via your retailer's Product Feed in the expected format, the Associates will notice new functionality in the Mobile application.
When browsing the Product Library, the product card now notes the presence of variants at the top-right of the card (below):
Viewing the product Details page
From the Product Library, an Associate can choose to view the 'Details' of a Product group and select a specific variant.
The image and details of the selected combination are presented to the Associate. Depending on the selections made by the Associate, the system will inform them if the combination is valid, 'Unavailable' or 'Invalid'.
Note: The variant marked in the retailer product feed as “is default” is what appears to associates when browsing the library. If the Associate taps the product card without navigating to the Details, the default variant is immediately added to the Product Shelf.
Searching & filtering in the Product Library
The Associate can also perform a keyword search or browse through the Category tree to return the product/variant search results. The Associate can filter by defined Attribute values on the left. These attributes are defined by the retailer in the product feed. Once a filter is selected, the Associate is presented with a list of eligible values defined for each variant.
The Associate can select and apply multiple filters. Search results return a product if at least one variant of a product is available and matches the search criteria.
- Selecting values across types will be a logical 'and'
- Selecting values within a filter type will be a logical 'or'
Making specific product recommendations
By pre-selecting product attributes, Associates can make specific product recommendations to their clients. Once the customized variants for the client is selected on the product Details page, click on Add Product to add the recommendation to an email for your client.
Once the recommendation is sent to your client, they can click through to your retailer's website to view the product page with the recommended attributes/variants already pre-selected for them.
